The SHIELD Mentor Program hopes to raise about $5,000 to buy a used, 12 to 15-passenger van.

Transportation is a critical need at SHIELD. Due to an expected increase in capacity, SHIELD is in dire need of a van to transport the youth to mentoring activities throughout the community. In particular, we plan to begin taking youth participants to tour local colleges and universities, the Civil Rights Museum, as well as other educational outings.

SHIELD accepts adolescents from Guilford County and surrounding areas who are in need of mentoring services. We accept and appreciate monetary donations of any amount.
